Does Mail Backup X Team Edition allow me to run and manage remote mail backups for team members?

Yes, Team Edition of our app is designed and developed, keeping in mind small teams of 5 to 50 members. It consists of different installers suitable for Admin and Client (for members sending updates to Admin). We use a serverless architecture, so no major costs or requirements to manage and set up any dedicated servers.

Do the App backups Mails in increments or starts from the beginning every time the backup starts?

Our Backup Solution is intelligent and knows where it left earlier. It will backup your emails in increments, and once it has backed up old mails, moving forward, it will backup only new emails you receive.

Is it a technically complicated process to set up mail backups or Migrate emails? Do I have to be tech-savvy to be able to use this tool?

Can I upload remote backups to a cloud or FTP location for compliance?

We have introduced a concept of Spaces in Version 2. It allows you to securely authenticate and add cloud services accounts like Google Drive, OneDrive and DropBox. You may configure a specific account to use specific Cloud spaces as well. You can add multiple cloud service account to increase the amount of space available for uploads. And the Admin can download to local drive uploaded archive files from members to free up space on Cloud service and maintain compliance to secure and archive business email data.

If a remote backup fails, will I get an alert or notification?

In case a member goes offline for a specific interval, let’s say a day or a member for some reason uninstalls the Client app or forgets to authenticate his account. Admin will get an Alert in his App Dashboard. Admin can fix on his own or call and remind the member to get the app back online, so the mail backup process is back online.

If a team member deletes any email, will they be deleted from the backup profile?

Once an email has been backed up for an account & is part of the archive, even if the team member deletes this email from his Email client app like Outlook, etc, the emails once backed up are never deleted from the Mail Backup Archives.

Can the team member search and view the backed up data?

We offer two types of client apps for members of teams. One runs in the background and processes mail backup uploaded to a central storage space setup by Admin. Second, with UI, it allows the members to look, view, and search through there own backup profiles.

We have some confidential mailbox's belonging to Senior Management. How do we secure these emails from unauthorized access?

While designing Mail Backup X, we thought of this problem of backed up mail data in case of other competitive mail backup solutions being visible to IT staff. That is why we implemented a feature of encrypting the database for profile. We just didn’t stop there, on top of it we added another layer of security by offering custom setup of a personal security key to encrypt the data further. Without that personal key, no one can access that profiles data, except for the user who setup that personal key. If that key is lost or forgotten by the user, even we won’t be able to decrypt the data for you.

Few of Our Team members are switching to Mac from PC, Is it possible to Export and Migrate Mail Data in Mac compatible format and vice versa?

Yes, definitely. Mail Backup X includes an All in One Email Migration and Conversion module. In addition to Backed up Mails data, import of all popular Mail Archives from various mail clients is supported, and you can export this as multiple mail archive formats, be it .pst, .mbox, .eml, .rge, .pdf file formats.

Few of our team members have Google Takeout mbox files that are about 50GB in size. Is it possible to import and view these emails with Mail Backup X?

Yes, we have tested importing data up to 400GB and more. Gmail Takeout files are supported, and the data is also viewable & searchable in the Mail Backup X Viewer.

We have some legacy mail archives (PST files) from old Windows PC, and now we use MacBooks. Will we be able to open, view, and search these emails with Mail Backup x?

Yes, your team members can easily import the PST files in Mail Backup X, and the mail data will be viewable and searchable in Mail Backup X viewer.

We have a mixed setup for our team members some using Windows PC, and some are using macs? Is your app able to cater to both, or do I need to have two different setups for managing mac and pc users backup data?

Mail Backup X is Awesome…far superior to other Mac Mail backup software. I am not very technology oriented, yet found this program easy to learn and play with. You can add backup directly if you have any configured email account with Apple mail, Outlook for Mac or Thunderbird. Even it forces you to download each mail if it’s not downloaded completely.

The auto USB feature is an impressive one. Just assign a drive; it will automatically take incremental backup whenever you connect the drive if the backup set to automatic. When I try with the search function that is much faster than Google as well as inbuilt Mac Mail search function. I love this program, which is with an ultra modern look not like the old UI as others. Definitely, get 2 thumbs up from me.
